Easter at Burwood

The Jones family because of it’s size, gathers at the Burwood Community Center for potluck Easter. There is always fun and Easter Egg Hunts. This year, Cindy added a few relay games (too bad it was to yucky outside for them). Dad was in charge of the camera. I guess he only followed the little, cute ones. =)DSC_7775DSC_7777DSC_7779DSC_7780

Easter Baskets

Gotta love some Easter basket love. The Easter Bunny never leaves much, but the kids LOVE it! Their faves are always the candy!DSC_7726DSC_7727DSC_7728DSC_7729DSC_7730DSC_7732

Baseball LOVIN!

I wish I had words for this boy and his baseball lovin’! He spends most of his day in a uniform and changes it out on his own multiple times a day. It got so bad, I had to put a bin under his bed with all the bigger boys old uniforms so he would quit digging in everyone’s drawers. 012

Twinkies

I love how big sister loves to play (and match) with little brother. I hope they will always love each other this much!010011

Croods fun

While the big boys are away, me and the 2 littles go play! These 2 are so easily entertained… seeing the Alvin statue was as good as Disney for them!008009

What homeschool looks like…

Most days our homeschool looks like a mess of books on the kitchen table. We created a room in the basement for “schooling” but I spent way too much time running up and down the steps. So they school where we spend the most time. It is not always easy, but it is always worth it.004

Day 3- Heading back to Port

Our time in Pignon was short this go around and we were set to head back to Pignon. We had to rearrange some scheduling because the flights did not run on time (at the goat pasture) and hung out a little longer handing out hugs and goodbyes.

Who can resist a cute Hatian style bath? Someone needs to send it to Cocoa cola!!!IMG_9776IMG_9774IMG_9779

On the day before our departure day a team came in to help with the building. I wish we could have stayed to help more, but they had in under control with a great building crew.

Our crew plus the building crew that came in for the week after us.

We had no idea where we were headed next. We were supposed to stay at an orphanage in Port, but as it turns out the missionaries that run it had been home to the US for a while having a baby and were really out of sorts and asked to stay at this place. After a repeat small plane ride that about did me in and a few hours in a mini van we reached our destination.

Honestly, I had to get over my guilt about staying at such a nice place on a mission trip!

The view on our arrival took our breath away. I had never seen mountains meet the ocean like this before. Wes went to get a closer look when he got taken out by a wave!

Watching the sunset was a nice addition to our day!
