How do you spell RE-LEAF?
Monday morning... it hit... the bottom fell out... or FILLED UP! The things you forget. Thanks Papa for the organic relief!

And now... the rest of the story
(This is for my records... and my child's benefit someday. There is really no need for you to read all the details... just a warning)
So, I went to the Dr. on Tuesday and nothing had really changed much. I was quite disappointed because I had spent a few nights hurting and thinking that surely the contractions were doing something. Mom was here with my dad and nephew visiting for the week. When Wednesday rolled around and still nothing was going on, we decided to take full advantage of the day and get moving. Mom and I loaded up all the kiddos (nephew Jackson included) and headed to the mall to walk. We also picked up a few supplies recommended by a high school friend who is now a Doula. (I will be glad to share that info to anyone interested). We came back home and I tried out a few of my supplies. I was also very grateful to be able to go to Baylor's game in town while Nommie stayed home with the kids. The games always get me excited and contracting, and this one was no different. I came home and had some more special tea hoping at the chance to see something happen. Nothing was happening... so we all went to bed. At 1:45 I woke up with a jolt and ran to the bathroom. The contractions came hard and fast but would last for 30 minutes or so and then back off. I laid there staring at the clock until 3:20 and decided that even though they were not completly regular the cramping that came with them were enough to make me go in. So in we went. I got checked in and by 4:00 AM it was confirmed that I was not going anywhere. By 5:30 AM I was still progressing and at 5 cm. I was told that I could have my epidural. I denied it thinking that this was going to be quick and I wanted to give it a try without anything. Dr. E came to talk to me at 7AM and told me she had a C-section but would come in and break my water after since my last one went within the hour of my water breaking. She did not make it back in until 9AM, she did break my water... but I was still a 5. She left to do some work. I laid their laboring on and off until 11AM where she came back in AND I WAS STILL A 5. At this point she did the "talk". She said that perhaps he was too big and could not move down. She said that she wanted to give it a go with pitocin but would feel better about it if I got an epidural. She did not know where it would go from the pitocin. I agreed but not without a show of tears. I really did want to try a natural delivery, but I was really hoping for quicker one then what I was getting. At this point I had been laboring for around 10 hours and going off of about 2 hours of sleep. I give in easily, and just wanted to meet the little man. I talked about my concerns based on things that had happened in the past and the epidural lady went and researched my files (that was impressive) and changed things up so it might not happen again. I cried through the epidural. Not because it hurt all that much but because I felt a little defeated. Not that I had failed, just battled and weary. After the epidural I was able to rest for about an hour until I started feeling pressure and what do you know... it was GO TIME! People started flying in and out, and 2 contractions later Cruz Williamson was born at 2:11 PM. Again, I cried. It is such a beautiful thing. So amazing that words just cannot describe the feeling of meeting the little person that had completly changed everything about you in the previous 9 months. Seeing what they finally look like and resting in the fact that they are completly healthy. God really knew how to break me in half!!! It was an amazing experience and I know I was made fun of for sending out FB text during my delivery... but I was going crazy and I had just gotten all technical adding it to my phone. I couldn't move, what else could I do to pass the time between contractions (I mean some people play cards I hear). I will have to say that yet again everyone was impressed with his big-ness. The scrub tech was hilarious in all her comments on how huge he was as she had just said that there was no way a big baby was coming from my belly. It was an amazing day. One where although I can describe in detail what all happened, words cannot express the emotions and feelings of the day, the experience and the new life we have been given.

Cruz Williamson
It is too late, and I am too tired for details right now... but they will come soon. What you are really after is to see the new man. So, here you go for now. More to come, we are glad to already be home.

Father's Day
One day you meet this guy, and you know he is handsome and from first impressions he seems like a really nice guy. Then you hang out with this guy and you know he is sensitive, caring, strong-willed, and hard-working. The more time you spend with this guy you know that you don't want to spend anytime without him. Then this guy asks you to be his wife and although you have no idea what the years ahead have in store for you both, you know that he will take care of you and love you. As the two of you get to know each other more and more, and grow closer together things begin to change. You see this man at work with his family, daily. You see this man's eyes after the birth of his first son... and second son... and third son, you see this man provide for your family and all the responsibilities that come with it. You see this man begin to grow and change, and you see God take over his heart, and because of that your home. You see this man know God's calling on his life and part of that calling leads you to the most beautiful princess you have laid eyes on (and she is all your very own). You see how even though he only gets to spend one week a year in the country that captures his heart, it is always on his mind. You see how he teaches his children lessons in life not just by telling them why they have to do something, but what it means for them in doing it. You see him attend a full day of baseball in the blaring heat thinking he might be frustrated that we signed up for this, but then you look in his eyes and wonder who is more excited to get to the game (and you know it is him). You see him sing praise music with his children while he cooks them breakfast, because a "boy's rule" breakfast is always better than anything momma might make. You watch him roll big blueprint plans out on the kitchen table with all the kids around him, watching what daddy does at work, and you listen as he describes in detail all the numbers he is writing down in the hopes that maybe someday one of his children will want to carry on the family business. You look at him and know that THIS, THIS is what you signed up for and you are so thankful for the man, the husband, the DADDY that he is.

I LOVE YOU!
Happy Father's Day
And I would be amiss not to add, that sometimes when I am most frustrated at my husband, it is because I think he is acting just like my dad. And even though I seem frustrated at the time, I smile because I could not have hand picked someone with qualities like my own father, and I am thankful. My father is a wonderful role model, a hard working man, and I am thankful to him for showing me what kind of father I needed to find for my children.

Cramming it all in
We have been WAY busy here in the Jones house trying to cram it all in before a newborn puts a stop on our summer activities. In the past two weeks we have had 2 baseball camps, swim lessons at Camp Nick-a-jack, games, practices, pool time... but now we are free and clear.
I did not take pictures of Bay at his camps, but I did capture some at the swim show at Camp Nick-a-jack. For those of you who live here that do not know this camp. IT IS A MUST DO for a swimmer. They can start at 3 and that works for some (Callan it did not) but I waited until 4 for Silas. Callan even had a serious fear to overcome this summer after missing a year last year. Really, if you want some great swim lessons let me know and I will make sure you hear about them next year.
Here are Callan and Silas putting their swim on...

And, because this picture cracks me up. I did not know it was a religious camp where they would learn to walk on water. =)

Today
Today I am choosing a nap over posting pictures on my blog. I will get to it eventually, I am just tired.
Dr. appointment went well yesterday. I am progressing (50% and nearly a 2). No telling when he will come. Could be "in 10 seconds" like Bay suggested or he could hold out for all the fear he must have on hearing what is going on, on the outside. Can't wait to meet the little man!

He has been waiting his whole life for this
Silas began his life just a few days before one of the first Spring seasons of baseball for Baylor. He was attending games at just weeks old. Since he was old enough to even recognize a ball he has been wanting to play.

He has even worn a baseball uniform to the field now for ALL of his brothers games for about 2 years now just waiting for his chance.

Most leagues you have to be 4 to play, so we told him when he turned 4 years old he could play. Last week, years of waiting finally came to an end. Silas is in his own little heaven. Each week we have to count the wake ups to baseball. I videoed the game last week and took pictures this week. He just loves it.
Here he is in his new uniform (just precious).
The whole style of this league is a little crazy. They pretty much let the kids "free for all" after the ball. So after the other team hits the ball, they all run for it (and dive and tackle and wrestle) until one comes up with the ball. Here is Silas running after the ball.
Although it looks like my little man is calling his hit, he is actually showing the coach where he is supposed to run to when he hits it.
Despite a small helmet malfunction, he was able to "SMACK" the ball (as he says).
How he was able to see, I do not know... but he ran...

with a huge grin on his face!
After mom adjusted his helmet at first (the chin strap was behind his head instead of under his chin). He took off to 2nd base.
The best part of his first baseball team. He has some of his best buddies on the team. I did not include them in today's pics because I always feel bad posting other people's kids without permission. But if their families say it is okay, I will before the season ends.

Guess??
Guess where I was 2 years ago today? I was here waiting for 10AM to come so my phone would ring and I could go down to the lobby and hug my angel that I had not seen since February (and Daddy had not seen since September)... and bring her home forever.
It is crazy how much a difference 2 years makes. It is crazy how this child is such a part of our family that the boys ask if our new baby Cruz will have Silas and Mommy's blue eyes, Baylor and Callan's hazel eyes, or Eliza and Daddy's brown eyes.
The adoption world is crazy to me right now. It seems that everywere you turn doors are being closed and heartache is being felt. Adoption was one of the hardest things that we ever endured emotionally, and for us it was an easy process. Today when I look at my angel I am so sad that orphanages and streets are filling up with angels just like her who need a home, yet governments, and policies, and paperwork are keeping them apart. Today, MY FRIEND (you know who you are)I am praying for you.
