Our one gift tradition…
Christmas at Nommie and Gandies
OH THE JOYS of this Christmas… Thanks to a lovely bug shared at school, Mommy, Eliza, and Cruz had been dealing with sickness. My cough was horrible. In fact I ended up resorting to a little Jack Daniels Toddy because it was the only thing I could find to help. Upon arrival to Nommies for Breakfast, just as we bowed to pray I noticed some critter activity in Eliza’s hair! YES I DID! We ran to the bathroom to figure out what to do and as they started Christmas Breakfast, I was oiling up my daughter and sending Brent to Walgreens. OH ME… it was one for the record books. I claimed it was the Plague style Christmas. BUT, our reason never changed. Our celebration and appreciation of a babe in a manger remained our focus.
HA HA! I looks like Bay got a My Little Pony!

And then it hit!!!
Eliza got a fever and I was afraid it was going to be the Flu, like friends at school. We ran to the walk in and as a parting gift, they made us wear masks. Eliza did not have the Flu, but it did take her out for several days
Cruz was next on the agenda. But he did not get hit as hard… maybe because we tried the “sleep with an onion trick”!!!
Mom got hit too (but we don’t need to share pictures of that). It was a frustrating way to spend our Christmas Break, but we did get to spend a lot of family time together.

A little Elf FUN!
I can’t help it I got sucked in to the Elf on the Shelf Fun… The kids had a BLAST with her!
This is her arrival, where the kids (Eliza and Cruz) were telling her all kinds of tales!
They could not believe her moves… and loved searching for her!
She had a few fun, creative things up her sleeve.
And like everyone else in our house this year, got sick before she had to go back home to the North Pole!

Christmas Chapel
At New Song, the kids are a part of a Christmas Chapel performance. Eliza and Cruz were animals from the manger.
Cruz my embarassed donkey.
And my terrible photo of Callan and Silas singing their song.
Little did I know that the Christmas Party would end in kids falling like flies with the flu… it was about to be a Christmas to remember…
