I am very thankful that I have a hubby that likes to cook. It takes a lot of pressure off of me. He is our go to guy for Thanksgiving Turkey and he does a GREAT job!

My Turkey
A few reasons for Thankfulness
We had a blast at Nommie and Gandie’s house for Thanksgiving. It was very low key, but nice. The weather was beautiful and the kids got to enjoy most of the day outside playing in the bonfire Gandie built and in the leaf piles.
We always have our token photo session in front of the red barn. Some people are going for a more GQ look.
Some people make you take 47 pictures before you get ONE with eyes open.
Some don’t like their photo taken because their eyes look a little funny with the swelling from the broken nose.
AHHH… leaves!
My Muber and Pa.
Sometimes Mom and Dad get a photo too.
Let the jumping begin!!! Some love it!
Some jarred their neck.
Some flew.
I think this one would have jumped all day!
This one was a little cautious.
Could not have been a better day!

Opening of 840
The kids and I made a news release (and the news) when we went and took part in the official opening of 840 through Williamson County. It was 14 years in the making. All of which my dad has worked for the TDOT. It has been through 4 or 5 governors, most of which were present at the ribbon cutting. It was a fun, landmark day for the state. But more importantly, Gandie got to tell my kids what the divits in the side of the road were called and what they were really for.

Thanksgiving Feast in Kindergarten
Eliza does not have to work hard to look like a Native American. She can rock it and loves doing so.The Kinder, 1st grade, and Pre-K classes at New Song held a Thanksgiving Feast. It was so sweet to see the kids sharing a meal, and I was surprised to watch as Eliza stood in front of all classes and parent and say (loudly) what she was thankful for. I might have gotten a little teary!
