Just a few days before Cruz was born, my mom tried to convince me to pull up this nasty weed. It gets bigger and more beautiful every year, just like my little man!

15 Years
Sadness… our neighbor’s moved
I don’t think Stella will ever understand where he buddies, Turbo, Sophie, and Griffin went. We are having a hard time with it too. It is hard to have neighbors that know a lot about you, but love you anyway! We will miss our driveway and backyard play dates, our list minute runs to their pantry, and endless conversations.

Birthday Celebration!!!
Due to an emergent illness (Sonja had kidney stones) we postponed Cruz’s birthday celebration. He didn’t mind. That meant weeks of focus on him!
Throw in some Pizza and cake and you have yourself a PARTY!!!
He is not a happy or proud child at all is he?

Silas Baptism
In the midst of our crazy baseball season we had an even crazier VBS. Our VBS is full out and overwhelming fun. The kids love it! Silas is my quiet shy boy and had made a decision for Christ a while back. But we were waiting on him to tell us when he was ready for baptism. We were shocked and surprised when he chose VBS Family Night. The night when HUNDREDS of families descend on TSC to see the final event of VBS. When he said that was what he wanted to do, we knew we had to make it work! We knew it would be a part of his testimony!
The sweet spot was seeing his team come stand up for him and his decision.
The best birthday gift!
Silas is my shy, quite, hide in plain sight kind of child. He loves action and activity, but he likes not to stand out. Silas had asked Jesus into his heart a while back but decided during VBS that he wanted to be baptized at VBS family night. That is SO not like Silas. Family night is CRAZY! When he made this request, we knew it was going to be a part of his story and we had to make it happen. Silas was also in the middle of heavy ball practice for All Star season. He missed practice to be at Family night. We told his coach, and of course he made sure the team knew and was invited to play a big part!
What I love about 8 year olds… they are not ashamed! They dive right in, they take part. They stand so close that they can feel the water. They bless my socks of and bring me to tears.
Amen and AMEN~!!!
