WWE

When your siblings get the Xbox game WWE Wrestling for Christmas, they suddenly think they too are wrestlers. It is only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. It’s always gotta be the sister???212

Feeling Nostalgic

Last night as I was trying my best to wait up for Santa, I pulled out the video camera. Actually, I pulled out the OLD video camera by accident. I rewound it a bit to see what was on the tape and found 2003. Back when life was a 2 year old and a new baby Callan. It was weird to see life again back then. How much things have changed, how we had no idea what our family would eventually look like. I started thinking about all our memories and remembered that since the iPhone came along, we have not gotten the video camera out that much. In fact, I am not really sure that much of Cruz's five years of life has been documented on anything but small blips on an iPhone. It made me sad. I think I have video of Bay rocking in the swing for hours, and Cruz nada!!! I am going to try harder this year to take in their life on camera. Life is precious...I know this time as a crazy family of 7 is going to come to an end and life will be much quieter. I know that in just a few short years I will have to adjust to Baylor only being here on weekends and time off from COLLEGE! That is crazy, and that will only be the beginning of sending them off every 2 years. I want to treasure these moments, live in them to the fullest and hope that each and every day, I am raising them to be the best people they can be!

Christmas Eve Candlelight

Our church has just started having a Christmas Eve service. We took the kids for the first time this year and hope to make it a longstanding tradition.

Christmas Eve Tradition

We have developed an anticipated tradition of the kids getting to open JUST ONE gift on Christmas Eve. In fact, it is the only present under the tree. This year, Eliza thought each of her brothers should get another gift and handed out her home made gifts of extra large paper footballs.DSC_8407DSC_8408

Then it became… girls first!

and youngest to oldest… because Callan wanted to go first! =)

Silas made sure we knew that it did no matter which direction we went, he was always 3rd. He’s right, poor middle child!
