Out with the old…

I finally broke down and threw these out. They have not been used in ages, but I could not bring myself to let go of a “last”. Last sippy cups in the Jones house They held their place in our home for 14 years!217

Sweet

Somehow, the day after Christmas we found some old videos of the boys. Eliza wanted to see some of her so we pulled out the video that our friend made for us out of all our pictures we received while she was in Guatemala. She watched it through 2 times and loved it! It was so sweet. 214

WWE

When your siblings get the Xbox game WWE Wrestling for Christmas, they suddenly think they too are wrestlers. It is only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. It’s always gotta be the sister???212

Feeling Nostalgic

Last night as I was trying my best to wait up for Santa, I pulled out the video camera. Actually, I pulled out the OLD video camera by accident. I rewound it a bit to see what was on the tape and found 2003. Back when life was a 2 year old and a new baby Callan. It was weird to see life again back then. How much things have changed, how we had no idea what our family would eventually look like. I started thinking about all our memories and remembered that since the iPhone came along, we have not gotten the video camera out that much. In fact, I am not really sure that much of Cruz's five years of life has been documented on anything but small blips on an iPhone. It made me sad. I think I have video of Bay rocking in the swing for hours, and Cruz nada!!! I am going to try harder this year to take in their life on camera. Life is precious...I know this time as a crazy family of 7 is going to come to an end and life will be much quieter. I know that in just a few short years I will have to adjust to Baylor only being here on weekends and time off from COLLEGE! That is crazy, and that will only be the beginning of sending them off every 2 years. I want to treasure these moments, live in them to the fullest and hope that each and every day, I am raising them to be the best people they can be!

Christmas Eve Candlelight

Our church has just started having a Christmas Eve service. We took the kids for the first time this year and hope to make it a longstanding tradition.
