At school, Eliza’s science class has been studying volcanoes. I was able to go in help with Science experiment day. They had a blast making their volcanoes explode!

Gingerbread House 2012

Big brothers missed out on the Gingerbread House of 2012 while in Nicaragua. Not sure they decorated more or consumed more candy. Cruz thought it was a fabulous idea to cover something with icing and put candy all over it.DSC_7594DSC_7595

Preschool Choir Christmas

The youngest 2 had their Christmas Program for Choir at church. It is always so hard to take photos. So we opted for a few after the show.

Nicaragua in Pictures

It is hard for a mom who did not get to travel with her boys to Nicaragua adequately put into words what they experienced, so I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Brent, Baylor and Callan spent the week loving on the people of Nicaragua in all the various barrios that Chosen Children Ministries works in. They fed each community and presented a gospel presentation drama to the group using both the team and the people in the barrios. They also got to visit an elderly home, the orphanage, and got to throw a Christmas party for the staff of CCM. I think Callan was impacted the most and fell in love with a 3 year old little girl named Samantha. I am not sure he will ever forget her. I am thankful for Nicaragua and the heart my husband has for it. It has changed our family in so many ways.

SQUID

At New Song, the boys were learning about ocean life. Each year they get to dissect something and this year it was a Squid. I volunteered to go in and help out. I think I had more fun than the kids and won the prize for being able to pull out the squids beak and entire esophagus!!! I learned all I could ever want to know about squid. I think the Mad Scientists did too!
