SNOW DAY

Much to my surprise and my kids delight... we got a snow day today. There is really only a dustinig, but the roads must be slick. We had enough on the deck to scrape together some for a snowman... though he may be tiny... he made their day!

I DID IT!

A week from tomorrow I will be in Guatemala! I am going by myself ( a big thing for me) but I am so excited! Hopefully we will have some news by then, but if not I still get to spend some QT with my daughter!( The picture is a view from the plane)

Nothing...

Nothing new here... just hanging out being patient and waiting on some word. Two things I will share.
First, I had a wonderful lunch with two of my agency friends today and their beautiful children from Guatemala. It really did my heart some good!

Second, I found Eliza some earrings at a decent price on E-bay... ( literally only $14 and in all the stores I found them to be a minimum of $40)

Of course I cannot find them again now... but they are precious... one set is pearl and one set is a gold heart with a pink stone at the base of the heart.

CRAZY

I feel kind of uncomfortable posting all about what is going on with our case so I will say this. Lots of investigation going on... not my case, but of the Civil Registry where birth mom received her cedula ( ID card). There has been a stop but on all things from that registry. Based on things that I understand that happened today I really feel like things can only get better from here. I feel like once this is all sorted through we will get rolling. Of course who knows how long the sorting will take. Please pray that it straightens back out so that we can get moving. I am missing her terribly.

I am still here...

Yep... I am still here... we took a fast from computers and TV this week. It was perfect timing for me. I have been focusing way to much on this screen, and I know staring at it for hours on end is not going to bring her home any faster.

Anyway... no news... my agency director was going to have someone go to the Civil Registry and ask for some specifics. Like... what kind of time frame we might be looking at. I am wanting to plan a trip in February, but I am just scared to at this point.

We did get some update pictures this week. They re-instated the monthly photo session. They make my heart hurt because I am not there... but at the same time, they make me smile. The hair bothers me some... is she losing it... or is it just the gelled look???

Pause

"Be still, and know that I am God;" Psalm 46: 10

I am taking a little time to focus on who told us to adopt and why we chose to adopt. I have gotten so wrapped up in Eliza and getting her home... I have lost focus.

I know that not many of you check this blog... but for those that do... thank you for your prayers.

Well... I asked for it...

I asked for the update and I got it... just not what I wanted. I really do not have the emotional energy to go into it all right now... so I will say this. We need a document from a Civil Registry. The book that the said document is in has been taken from said Civil Registry for investigation (audit). The time frame on it's return... indefinate.

I am turning to my faith... I know God has a plan... I can't see it right now... but I am searching. His words bring me peace and that is all I need right now.

On another note... we did get her monthly medical update. She is up to 11 pounds 3 oz and looking precious in her little black get up... I cannot say I can figure out what is going on with the hair... is it slicked for a barrett we cannot see in that hair... or is it just slicked? It makes me smile... because in this picture I can here her fussing at the Civil Registry office and saying " My momma's gonna get you!"
