Pool Party Fun

Cruz has never had a big “party” for his birthday. This  year, not having a party was not an option because he told me we were having a birthday party at the pool. I loved planning his birthday, but I remembered why I don’t like having. Cruz had so many buddies we wanted to include, but the pool rules state that we can only have up to 25 people when you count family, friends, brothers and sisters your list fills up fast. (that is my little blurb on why it hurts my feelings that we could not invite more friends).

I was proud of our all things pool and bubbles related theme (because we love Bubble Guppies so much).DSC_7055

My little man has turned into quite the fish this summer.DSC_7057Our lunch, with fish shaped sammies, goldfish crackers and pretzels, fruit “bubbles” (grapes), some sweedish fish, water or blue juice,  and of course fish themed cupcakes.DSC_7060DSC_7061

Some big kids too…DSC_7062 Cruz loves being spoiled by his cousins. The big ones love to dote on him.DSC_7063

Cruz was so excited about his big “FREE” (3) candle.DSC_7064

We were not prepared for how embarrassed he would get at everyone singing for him.DSC_7071

Who does not love a cupcake mouth?DSC_7075Some of sister’s best buds got to join in on the birthday fun!DSC_7076

When you turn 3, you get big strong muscles!DSC_7080

And then there are presents too… WOW!DSC_7082DSC_7083

BPA State Tourney- Legends

Baylor’s 11U team went undefeated in the BPA state tournament to take home the Championship Trophy! BPA 11U Majors State Champion!DSC_7034DSC_7036DSC_7040DSC_7042DSC_7044DSC_7048DSC_7050

Cruz Williamson

It really seems weird for Cruz to be turning 3. He is my first baby to turn 3 without another one on the way. I have really enjoyed his crazy 2 year old self… and his three year old self is only getting crazier and funnier. This one just might send me to the loony bin by the time I can get him off to college.DSC_6965DSC_6971DSC_6967DSC_6973

A few of his “LOVES”… he loves his monkey blankies. He has 2 and he has to have both of them for nap and bed.

He loves Bubble Guppies and Team Umizoomi. He loves “brothers” and when you ask him “Are you a baby?” He says “NO! I brother!” He loves playing outside and always with a ball or a bat in his hand and loves jumping on the trampoline.

He thinks you need to turn a movie on in the car even if you are just riding down the street, and (right now) he thinks a sneak attack hit and run is AWESOME (Mom is working on that).

He just got to move into a new room with Silas (so Callan could have his own room) and thinks he is SO BIG. In fact he is SO BIG, he voluntarily goes in “his” room at least 10 times a day to change clothes in his “new” room.

He has spent all summer at the pool and even though he wears a puddle jumper, he loves being in the water floating around the entire time we are there.

He has so much personality,  he is the biggest stinker, and I could just eat him I love him so much!

Heritage Hammers 7U

Silas was blessed with the opportunity to play for the Heritage All Star team again this season. I was really proud of him and of how much he has grown this year.DSC_6981

Silas spent most of All Stars playing the pitcher position. He did a great job and made several outs.DSC_6996DSC_6998DSC_7000

During the District Tourney he was able to move over to Second Base a little and did a fabulous job there as well making several outs and taking a full on running hit to the body that knocked him flat to the ground (and left a knot bruise on his chin). After a little coaxing (that may or may not have awarded me with the mother of the year award) he kept going strong to finish out the game (Thank goodness for a Pediatrician as a mom on the team).

The team placed second in the district against an amazing team. We had lots of fun and got to know some great families.DSC_7010DSC_7030

Cross Camp

For the first time ever, both Baylor and Callan got to go to Cross Camp with the church. They had a fabulous time with friends and learning some independence from home. They had a fabulous time and made years worth of memories.

A little baseball… Heritage Rec Ball

Callan played another season with the Yankees at Heritage this year, and had a successful season. Callan still struggled with being afraid of the ball, but I think he finally decided in the end to overcome that fear.DSC_6920DSC_6923

Silas played with the (throwback) Astros with some of our favorite people. He had a great season and did great for his first time in Spring Machine Pitch moving up as starting pitcher for most games.DSC_6924DSC_6926

Cruz needed the coach to hurry up with the after game talk… he needed a trip to the potty. (I could not resist)DSC_6927

The Astros walked away with a 3rd place trophy in the Heritage League. For a team of young, new kids, I could not be more proud!DSC_6931

Callan’s team walked away with first place in the Heritage League. They played some tough competition and fought hard for it. I am very proud of his team.DSC_6938DSC_6939DSC_6941
